Elk Hunting
Elk Hunting
Hunting for Elk is done from our Wilderness Base Camp. The hunting is in designated Wilderness (non-motorized) Areas of The White River, Gunnison, and Grand Mesa National Forests, GMU’s 42, 421 and 521. These game management units are well known as high quality big game areas, at an elevation between 9,000 and 10,000 feet, especially for the huge herds of elk.

Hunting for Mule Deer is similar to the Elk hunt except it is a draw only tag and is still done from our Wilderness Base Camp. The hunting is in designated Wilderness (non-motorized) Areas of The White River, Gunnison, and Grand Mesa National Forests, GMU’s 42, 421 and 521. During 3rd rifle season the hunt takes place out of our home base location with 4 wheel drive access, those GMU's are 21 and 30.

Mountain Lion Hunting (aka cougar hunting) is done in BLM GMU’s 21, 30, 31, 61, 62, 421, and 521 which are all in Western Colorado. Mark’s home in Loma CO is the base for these guided hunts. The hunting grounds are rugged high desert terrain units with a reputation for producing good lions.
